SENIOR VIDEO GAME DESIGNER Trion Worlds

Apply experience in game mechanics to design, implement and maintain the underlying structure and overall combat system and mechanics, including but not limited to character design, game combat design and balance, abilities design, game economy and interface design.
Create simulations and modeling of combat systems. Analyze results obtained and make necessary changes to improve overall combat balance. Create spreadsheets to drive overall combat balance.
Use MS Excel, Word and Visio to work with vast numerical data; design and maintain complex mathematical systems, databases, calculators and projections; and create and present game data in an understandable format.
Test, iterate, balance and adjust previously implemented content, improving flow and game play experience for overall combat and ability system.
Develop prototypes, scripting tools and process improvements for more efficient content development.
Write specifications that explain new content and incorporate feedback into those documents.
Be responsible for specific critical game systems or game content.
Apply mathematics and advanced Excel to derive mathematical formulas and apply specific formulas to the combat systems.
Understand various computer game programming effects and work closely with programmers to find solutions and overcome technical challenges.
Learn proprietary tools quickly and work within a complex asset development pipeline.
May handle additional technologies and/or responsibilities as business demands require.
This is a full time, permanent position.
Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or closely related field.
3 years experience in job offered or as Game Designer, Game Systems Designer, or closely related occupation.
Must have experience with:
Game mechanics design
Combat and ability design and systems
MS Office (including Excel, Word and Visio)
