We are scouting for a well-rounded Senior Web Application Engineer with a proven track record implementing and architecting consumer facing web applications. Enthusiasm for solving interesting and complex problems is a MUST.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone to work in a small team building state of art internet and mobile applications and developing web prototypes/solutions for new consumer and broadcast applications. At the same time you will have the ability to learn and apply several cutting edge technologies. This position blends a variety of skills/technologies into cohesive applications ? using state of the art real-time data collection, streaming infrastructure for both data and media, interactive 3D graphics ? all in a web delivery infrastructure. Potential for your work to be in the customers? hands within days of implementation, and an opportunity to complement and contribute to live TV productions. The person in this role has a major voice in design decisions as well as technical direction.
The candidate chosen for this role will build and strengthen a broad array of skills, including: analytical, problem solving and understanding sports broadcast video technology, and the design of complex, dynamic software programs that are seen on National television and on the web.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Education:
BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent
Strong experience with Flex/Flash ActionScript 3.0
Strong background in object oriented software design and development
Experience providing architectural leadership to refactor existing software and build applications from scratch
Must possess excellent interpersonal, communication, problem solving skills and work well in a dynamic team environment
Demonstrated ability to quickly grasp new concepts
Self-starter and motivated to create well engineered software components and systems
Desired, BUT Not Required:
Track record of producing end to end web-based prototypes
Experience developing real time data or media streaming applications
Experience with Ruby on Rails
Experience with C++, .NET, C#, SQL programming
Experience with 3D Graphics (OpenGL, WebGL, Unity)
Experience developing consumer rich internet applications
Game, film, TV graphics or broadcast video experience
Interested in and knowledgeable of sports a huge plus!
