The ideal candidate will have experience in web design and development, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a bachelor's degree with at least seven years of related experience. In addition, the candidate must possess an online design portfolio demonstrating related and relevant work with a description of the role they played in the development and design of the project.
Primary Responsibilities:
Maintain and update existing all Vocus web properties
Design and build landing pages for marketing campaigns
Design and build HTML email templates/newsletters (table-based HTML)
Design and build, valid, hand-coded HTML/CSS, in keeping with internal standards and patterns
Design and build expertly designed, pixel-perfect design comps based on internal design patterns
Design and build web marketing banners at various sizes and complexity in Adobe Flash
Collaborate and work well with other designers, writers, project managers, and stakeholders
Clearly and comfortably communicate creative ideas and technology solutions verbally and in writing
Solicit and accept feedback from other designers, stakeholders, and management, respond appropriately with revisions that meet briefs
Provide reliable design feedback to other designers, stakeholders, and management
Manage projects and priorities with urgency and a dedication to quality
Stay informed on current trends in the fields of design and marketing
Requirements:
7+ years of experience
Bachelor?s degree in related field
Strong portfolio of recent, relevant design and HTML/CSS work
Strong HTML and CSS skills
Knowledge of CMS systems (WordPress, Drupal, Expression Engine)
Proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash)
Strong design and layout skills
Prioritization and analytical skills
Strong communication skills
A self-starter/highly motivated
Being able to multi-task and meet deadlines
Preferred:
HTML 5/CSS 3
Javascript, PHP and jQuery experience
Ability to produce press-ready design materials
