Job Description
To support our rapid growth, we are seeking talented, motivated engineers to join our office in Chicago. You must bring a passion for programming and developing innovative solutions. As an experienced software engineer, you will have the opportunity to work with a powerful web application using some of the latest technologies with a brilliant, talented bunch of developers solving complex problems. You will work closely with BigMachines' development team to build and deploy our solution using Java/JSPs/Servlets/HTML/CSS/GXT/JqueryAJAX and a host of other cutting edge enterprise strength technologies. We are looking for highly motivated individuals who can learn quickly, grow with the company, and look forward to the challenge of delighting our customers and building our business.

Duties
Understanding J2EE/HTML/CSS/Javascript libraries space
Designing and developing new product features and collaborate with server-side and other UI developers to build components using JSPs/Servlets, HTML/CSS/Jquery/GXT/AJAXand Javascript
Producing high quality code while adhering to BigMachines Standard coding practices for UI, Security, Performance and Scalability
Performing unit tests for all code using JSunit, Selenium or Manual functional testing if applicable
Helping management establish and enforce UI standards
Producing high quality UI code, perform code reviews and mentor/lead team of junior UI engineers
Staying updated of new technologies and changes in technologies that affect front-end web development
Adhering to all BigMachines security policies, standards and procedures in the performance of job duties
Participating in security training provided by BigMachines
Reporting any potential security weakness, exposure or suspicious indications to manager
Skills/Requirements
Strong programming, problem solving and analytical skills with expertise in UI technologies
Ability to learn quickly and independently, strong team player
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work constructively with developers, QA, project managers and management towards a common goal
High motivation and desire to do whatever it takes to help the customer and our company succeed
A Minimum of a Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science or related software engineering discipline, or equivalent with 4 years of work experience OR a Master?s degree in Computer Science or related software engineering discipline with 3 years work experience
Experience and comfort with web programming technologies such as HTML/CSS/Javascript/XSLT is a must
Knowledge of user interface design and web design constraints
