Work closely with the Visual Thesaurus team to turn designs into working web applications.Develop HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and AJAX components based on requirements and designs.
Work with the engineering team to integrate with back-end functionality.
Criteria
Expert knowledge of prevalent and emerging Internet technologies.
Portfolio of developed applications that indicates an understanding of modern web design (circa 2006-7). (e.g. table-less HTML, modular CSS, graceful degradation, AJAX utilization.
Appreciation for language and the written word.
Strong interpersonal capabilities and solid oral and written communication skills.
Strong organizational, decision-making, and self-administrative skills and attention to detail.
Proven experience working in a collaborative environment.
Bachelors degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university; 4 or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
