Senior Web Developer Venafi

Responsibilities:

Be an architect and major contributor to the design and implementation of a web-based administration console for Venafi?s next generation product.
Attention to detail, and great communication skills are a must.
Ability to work independently, as well as a member of a team, to create software that helps our customers succeed in their business.
Must be self-motivated, details oriented, and possess the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
Must ensure the best possible experience for the users of Venafi?s products.
Identify system deficiencies and recommend efficient client-server solutions.
Accurately estimate and adhere to the scope and schedule of assigned tasks

Required Skills & Knowledge:

Extensive C# programming with experience in ASP.NET
Must be self-motivated, with a keen eye to efficiency, new technologies, architecture of implementation, and an inherent knowledge of ASP.NET, JavaScript, and web application development best practices.
Bachelor?s degree in computer science, MIS, or related experience (5+ years).
Minimum of 3 years proven experience designing and developing professional, database-driven, interactive web applications preferably in the commercial software sector.
Minimum of 2 years developing ASP.NET web applications in C# using Visual Studio.NET.
Be able to contribute to a proactive, positive, team based, work environment while also showing your individual style and enthusiasm.
Have a keen eye towards layout, presentation, and overall user experience.
Thorough understanding of ASP.NET Page and Control life cycles, ViewState and Session management.
Must be able to test and debug your own code, as well as others.
Must be able to write and test web pages to work well with all major web browsers (XHTML knowledge is a requirement).
Develop software on schedule, adhering to department standards and processes.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must have an in-depth understanding of the software development lifecycle and be able to communicate project status, issues, and resolutions.
Be alert to emerging technologies or applications and the opportunities to integrate them into current projects.
Assumes additional responsibility without being asked.

Preferred Experience:

Commercial product development experience
Administration console development
ASP.NET, AJAX, XML, XSL/XSLT, CSS
JavaScript
Experience in developing internationalized applications
Understanding of encryption and/or certificate concepts and technologies.
