Sensor Technology Manager Jawbone
Lead the development and deployment of innovative sensor technologies into Jawbone?s mobile lifestyle products
Core Responsibilities:
Define and project state-of-art in sensors in multiple domains - optical, chemical, thermal domains
Identify technologies suitable for miniaturization and integration
Manage, collaborate and drive a diverse set of contributors, both internal and external to develop technology
Execute prototypes for innovative sensors and sensing systems to meet expected performance and power consumption targets
Develop appropriate test and validation systems and drive the sensor technology into high volume products
Requirements:
10+ years of experience building sensors across multiple spectra ? visual, chemical, optical, MEMS, NIR, thermal, etc.
10+ years of experience developing and deploying innovative, miniaturized, ultra-low power sensor systems
Ability to perform system level trade-offs to optimize cost, performance and battery life across sensors, hardware and software
Experience with nanoparticle based sensors a plus
Must be a team player and possess excellent oral and written communication skills
Must have demonstrated leadership skills
Must be a creative individual with prior history of filing IP
Master?s or Ph.D. degree in EE, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or related discipline or equivalent work experience
