Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for architecture and design of high-performance server and cluster I/O technologies. with the ability to work in a multifaceted cross functional role. You will work at a range of levels covering high-level system use case conceptualization, system level software and SOC architecture, evaluation and selection of IP vendors, and block-level SOC architecture related to Calxeda value-add technologies relating to I/O.
Understanding of ASIC and system architecture focused on I/O and PCIe technologies. You should have the visibility into PCIe and I/O deployment use cases in current and forward-looking data-center volume servers. Additionally, you will have the breadth to do architecture work at a system level, integrating system software concerns, and then at block level design within an SOC We are looking for both a breadth and depth in PCIe technologies.
Education/Qualifications:
-- Masters or PhD degree in CS or EE and 5+ years of industry experience
-- ASIC and system architect focused on PCIe technologies and integrations
-- Expertise in all PCIe protocol layers including physical layer, data link layer, and transaction layer
-- Experience with issues related to I/O virtualization and PCIe, including SR-IO
-- Experience with hardware / software integration of PCIe
-- Experience with high-performance PCIe server-class implementations
-- Experience with integration at PIPE interface to PHYs (a plus)
-- Experience with bus-level integration to PCIe controllers (a plus)
-- Experience with system level and integration level design around server peripherals including PCIe, SATA, SAS, Ethernet, and other Flash integration standards
-- Ability to solve complex problems
-- Good communication and written skills
