Server Lab Intern
Solera Networks is seeking a part-time intern in our South Jordan, UT office to configure and do testing of our Linux-based network capture server. Successful applicants will demonstrate a "can-do" attitude and an ability to rise to any challenge and succeed. They will have a track record of delivering results, a strong aptitude for testing, and a high level of initiative. Strong preference will be given to applicants with Linux and hardware experience.
Job Descriptions & Responsibilities
Set up and configure new server platforms
Verify hardware platforms via automated and manual testing
Document test results and performance benchmarks
Troubleshoot and root-cause bugs in complex configurations
Other duties as assigned or needed
Required Skills:
Ability to identify problems and produce descriptive bug reports
Ability to interact positively and pro-actively with other team members
Networking configuration
Hardware configuration
Preferred Experience:
Systems software testing
Network security expertise
Packet capture and analysis (Wireshark)
Configuration of disk subsystems (RAID, JBOD, SAN)
Linux expertise
