Job Description:
Working within a small team of java developers, this position will primarily focus on the development, maintenance, and support of our electronic trading and prime brokerage related services.
Mandatory skills and experience:
Extensive hands-on Java-based multi-tiered and/or distributed enterprise application development experience
Multi-threaded java application experience
Strong object oriented design skills
Development experience on UNIX/MS environment
Minimum 7 years professional experience within the software development field
Experience with Order Management Systems
Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
Preferred Skills:
Desirable skills and experience
Experience with Google GWT, Ajax, and Java Script
Hands on experience with FIX and/or SWIFT protocol
Knowledge of open source MVC frameworks like Struts and Tapestry
Web Services (XML/SOAP/WSDL) experience
Front office financial experience beneficial
Automated Unit and Integration test experience a plus.
