DescriptionWe are looking for a candidate that will provide high levels of support for customers on Integra?s Core Data Network: job duties will cover and are not limited to layer 1, 2, 3 and 4 of the OSI model. This fast paced environment requires high degrees of understanding of data networking and how this relates to customer VPN connections throughout Integra?s National Network. This 24/7 Network Operations Center is the focal point for technical escalations of Integra?s 8 Operational Markets. This will require off shift hours as part of normal hours for candidate.
Candidate will be required to know Cisco switch platforms to include 7609, 9000 and 10000 switch/routers and associated commands to troubleshoot layer 1 to layer 4 type issues.
Candidate will be measured on metrics to meet monthly and yearly ticket/call loads averages for the group?s mean time to repair and grade of service (mean time to answer calls).
RequirementsSkills REQUIRED:
?Fluent with QoS and CoS for prioritizing traffic and how this relates to VoIP
?Expert level understanding of 802.1Q through core and aggregation devises, including 802.1ad Q-n-Q tagging
?Fluent in trouble shooting IP routing issues throughout the greater Internet with customers on a global basis.
?Above Average customer facing skills; will be interfacing with customers on a daily basis
?Identify basic DSL/ADSL type connectivity issues to Synchronous Ethernet based connections across a WAN/LAN
?Supply real time and timely updates to customers, agents or managers on trouble tickets
?Responsible for ticket loads and taking calls from an ACD system.
