The Job:
Service Engineers are technical specialists pivotal in the delivery of our services catalog remotely and on-site. Our professional services include software implementation, migration services, and turn-key training solutions for our products. Ideal candidates should have a solid technical background, and experience in enterprise software roll-outs and deployments. Technical candidates should be ready to join a passionate team and company working with relevant, cutting-edge software technologies, and enterprise infrastructures and deployments.
Responsibilities:
- Become an expert of AvePoint's product offerings and the implementation process
- Install, configure, and implement AvePoint products in complex enterprise infrastructures to fulfill customers' requirements
- Provide validation and readiness of AvePoint products against technical and business requirements
- Compile technical documentation of projects and implementations as well as service deliverables
- Implement proposed technical strategies and solutions to satisfy customers' business needs
- Act as an internal servicing team for various technical projects
- Further internal-QA and Scenario testing with virtualized infrastructures and technologies
- Deliver training sessions to customers through web-based conferences or onsite at customer's location
- Effectively and accurately set client expectations and deliverables
- Play an ad-hoc technical resource to provide technical support, product demonstration, and/or solution consultation
Qualifications:
- BA/BS Degree (Computer Science/Engineering majors preferred) with 2 to 3 years of work experience preferred
- Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills
- Aptitude to provide a high level of customer service
- Capability to work individually and within a highly collaborative team setting
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast paced environment
- Ability to travel domestically 40-65%, dependent on projects and customer's deployment cycles (overnight travel will be required)
- Active Security Clearance is preferred
Knowledge in the following area:
- Different versions of Microsoft SharePoint architecture, components, and configuration
- Enterprise software implementation and current software protocols and Internet standards
- Installation, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting a Windows Server 2000/2003/2008 and cluster Server, IIS, and relational SQL server and the understanding how these software components integrate with SharePoint
- TCP/IP, DNS, Active Directory, SMTP, and DHCP technologies
- Experience working with virtual machine software, environment, and sandbox environments
- Performing production updates in a 24/7 environment
- Testing, flowchart, and data mapping tools and procedures
- Drafting and documenting technical procedures and protocols for training material and/or architectural documents
- Writing and reviewing SOW's for service engineering
