We are currently seeking a Service Implementation Manager (SIM) to be responsible for comprehensive project management of audio visual managed services engagements including Total Managed Conferencing Services (TMCS) transition management, staff augmentation transition, and media services deployments / transitions.
This position reports directly to the Vice President of Customer Service. The Service Implementation Manager will provide direction and support to the Service Implementation team in regard to the onboarding and transition of new clients in Yorktel. This position will work directly with the VP of Customer Service to provide day to day project guidance and prioritization. Advanced audiovisual knowledge including, but not limited various audiovisual software and hardware associated with video conferencing. Project coordination and management experience required. SOP creation in relation to new process and procedure. This position will also have the responsibility and authority to appropriate, implement and transition new clients into the managed service department within the scope of Yorktel?s policies and procedures. Resolution of client issues to intermediate level of escalation within Yorktel guidelines of established policies and procedures.
Internal & External Relationship Responsibilities:
This position regularly communicates to internal and external customers to achieve a mutually desirable outcome. This position will make recommendations to internal parties and customers in regard to concerns or issues, and ensure resolution of any problems working closely in conjunction with assigned clients. This position will regularly communicate answers to complex questions and respond to detailed inquiries about technical stand up of new client. This position handles and is expected to protect all internal and external confidential information and must utilize discretion and judgment based on company policies and procedures. Plan, organize, and manage resources / deliverables for Managed Services BU projects
Assess, and work with others to determine project risks and determine appropriate mitigation plans
Track, control, and report on costs for Managed Services project deployments
Attain a comprehensive knowledge of Managed Services processes and procedures, so as to assist in development of services that meet customer requirements
Work directly with clients, manufacturers and staff throughout the design, development and delivery process
Develop process specifications, flows, and documents including but not limited to: video network test plans, system operational instructions, procedural diagrams, drawings and sketches; operational capabilities narratives. These may be both for internal use, and / or for client site practices.
Assist in development of and conform to division process standards and practices
Development and implementation of reports to assist in the management of Managed Services engagements
Manage the creation and delivery of accurate Room Profiles for TMCS Projects
Work collaboratively and cooperatively with vendors, clients, and other groups within York Telecom
Responsible for knowledge of and adherence to all internal York Telecom policies and procedures
Responsible for successfully completing projects on time and within budget
Effectively forecast project revenue and profits as well as manage job costs reporting.
Other duties as assigned
Communicating internally at all levels within Yorktel, and with customers
Ensuring high level of customer satisfaction.
Job Requirements :
Technical Job Responsibilities:
Must have technical knowledge of Polycom Systems, Tandberg/Cisco Systems, Creston, and other audio and video technologies.
In-depth knowledge of the following Managed Services capabilities :
Conference Scheduling
Conference Launching
VNOC or Network/System Management
Asset Management
effective negotiation skills
Technical Certifications
Advanced Project Management training such as Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification (preferred)
ITIL Certification (preferred)
Knowledge of H.320 and H.323 Videoconferencing standards a plus
Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Skills & Additional Qualifications:
Excellent documentation practices are essential
Ability to effectively coordinate and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent written and oral communications skills
Ability to interact with end-users and YTC staff to successfully identify and document specific client requirements
Proven ability to research and think analytically in business management practices
Ability to organize, sort, filter and work with data management from multiple sources
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to work with others in sometimes stressful and fast-paced environment

Proficient in the use of computers and MS Suite (Outlook, Project, Excel, Visio and Word)
Minimum of 5 years experience in project and/or operational management of technology deployments or services rollouts
College degree or military technical college graduate or equivalent and related work experience
Experience in process documentation and development
Experience in the management of technology product/services deployment projects
Demonstrated or potential proficiency in the use of Microsoft Project, or similar proficiency in the use of other project management software tools
Experience of managing third party suppliers
May require occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs)
Requires extensive sitting, standing and walking
Domestic travel requiring multi-night stays within and at times outside the local work area
Valid passport; International travel required
Valid U.S. driver?s license
Must be willing to complete background checks and drug tests as required by current or future contracts
Must be willing to apply for security clearances, SSA Suitability, and other related clearances to be able to work at certain customer locations
