THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED Our Set-Up Team is part of the Choreography department that is responsible for taking the game from alpha wiring into a playable state at Telltale. Set-Up artists are usually the first on a project and tend to be some of the last off. As a Set-Up Artist you?ll be playing a support position to other departments, such as animation and programming, and working closely with the Cinematic Director and Lead Choreographer to get the scene ready for the Cinematic Artists to work on. This includes putting scenes together, creating cameras, wiring up puzzles & interactive sequences, stress-testing character acting & mood systems, fixing bugs, creating walk boxes, and other ?under-the-hood? tasks. Ideal candidates for the position are flexible, multi-talented, possess a technical aptitude and are problem solvers with a love for making games and figuring out how things tick.
We are currently seeking to further expand our Choreography department with two-three immediate Set-Up Artist hires.
Create cameras and interactive objects.
Prototype new game mechanics.
Set up cameras and actor staging within the scene.
Balance quality with efficiency when working under tight deadlines.
Follow and maintain pipelines and technical requirements.
Communicate with programmers, animators, and leads to strike a balance between gameplay and visual storytelling.
Essential Skills and Experience
Technical problem solving and aptitude.
Quick to adapt to company proprietary software.
Basic knowledge of cinematography and editing.
Self-motivated team player.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a proactive approach when seeking answers.
Preferred Skills and Experience
Experience working in the video games industry or features.
Passion for making adventure games driven by narrative.
Experience with character and camera animation in Maya.
