Job DescriptionThis position will be responsible for training, coaching and supervising the 3rd shift production line as
well as other various related responsibilities.
Job Responsibilities
Supervise production line operators and technicians in accordance with plant policies and
procedures.
Train and coach production line employees.
Conduct employee performance reviews.
Responsible for shift schedule to include: work station assignments, employee training, employee
vacations, employee breaks, overtime assignment, back-up for absent employees, and shift
rotations.
Coordinate production startups, shutdowns, and changeovers.
Coordinate with Human Resources for appropriate staffing levels.
Schedule and conduct shift meetings and shift transition.
Responsible to meet shift production goals.
Responsible for quality control. Make adjustments as necessary during shift to produce product
within specifications.
Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs).
Communicate with other Shift Supervisors and Plant manager
Ensure a clean and safe work area.
Assist in production as necessary.
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum 5 years supervisory experience in automotive or high tech assembly
Knowledge of the manufacturing processes, procedures, and machinery.
Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers.
Ability to work night shift schedule
Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
Good computer skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft office
