Purpose and Scope
The Shipping Assistant prepares customer orders for shipment in an accurate and timely manner.
Responsibilities
Prepares customer orders for shipment.
Picks product for orders when assigned.
Packages product and labels boxes with appropriate labels.
Keeps the supervisor informed of any discrepancies.
Keeps work area organized and clean.
Assists in performing weekly inventories.
Assists Receiving and Manufacturing departments when needed.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Organization Relationships
Reports directly to the Manager, Warehouse.
Has no supervisory responsibility.
Requirements:
Education and Training
High School Diploma or equivalent.
1 to 2 years shipping experience required.
Experience and Skills
Computer skills including Internet proficiency
Ability to abide by departmental and relevant QSOPs.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift 50 lbs. of equipment and boxes.
