Shipping & Receiving Team Lead Niagara Thermal

Responsible for supervising shipping and receiving operations, provide guidelines for shipping costs, ensure on-time delivery and accuracy of customer shipments and incoming shipments.
Provide leadership and guidance to and coordinate activities of Shipping/Receiving team members.
Investigate job problems and respond to associate disputes.
Coordinate training of new and existing employees in policies, processes, and procedures of the manufacturing area. Provide feedback and coaching to employees recognizing achievements and progress.
Make recommendations to implement improved processes.
Provide feedback to management concerning possible problem or areas of improvement.
Perform clerical and physical tasks in connection with shipping goods and receiving incoming shipments.
Verify orders are accurately filled by comparing items and quantities of goods gathered for shipment against documents.
Ensure shipments are properly packaged, identified with shipping information, and loaded into transporting vehicles.
Verify the accuracy of incoming shipments by comparing items and quantities unloaded against bills of lading, invoices, manifests, storage receipts, or other records.
Inspect received goods for damage.
Ensure received goods are appropriately identified for routing to departments within Niagara Thermal Products.
Prepare and maintain records of goods shipped and received.
Participate in training of technical and leadership skills.
Address non-routine issues. Consult with Management as needed.
Use all safety devices/tools to ensure safe operation.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in shipping & receiving within the US and internationally.
Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience.
High school or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or technical school diploma or equivalent in relevant work experience preferred.
Proven ability to process all paperwork associated with freight.
Ability to utilize computers, shipping software and system software.
Ability to lift 50 pounds and pass Niagara Thermal Products physical and drug screening.
Ability to be certified as a forklift operator.
Must exhibit positive behaviors in all part of the job requirements.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw and apply valid conclusions.
Ability to work in a team fostered environment.
Hours: From 7:00 AM To 3:30 PM
