Silicon Design Engineer Netronome

Netronome Systems, Inc. seeks a Silicon Design Engineer to work in our Boxborough, MA office and to be responsible for architectural definition (based on an understanding of computer architecture) and implementation of complex hardware algorithms. Maintain existing Register Transfer Level ("RTL") code and integration of externally developed blocks. Contribute to logic verification, synthesis, Automatic Place and Route ("APR"), and timing closure of RTL designs. Working in a UNIX-like environment, develop test plans and test benches and provide/perform logic design using RTL Languages (Verilog/VHDL or System Verilog), synthesis and timing analysis, design simulation, and debugging. Develop tools and utilities to aid in the performance of the above-mentioned responsibilities using scripting languages (Perl or TCL or Python) and/or object-oriented programming languages (C++ or Java or Python).
Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a directly related field of study required. Must know (through academic coursework or work experience): 1 Logic design and debugging with Verilog/VHDL or System Verilog; 2 developing test plans and testbenches and performing simulation and debugging; 3 synthesis and timing analysis; 4 understanding of computer architecture; 5 complex hardware algorithms (pipeline, math implementations, and cryptographic algorithms); 6 proficiency in an object-oriented programming language (C++ or Java or Python); 7 a UNIX-like environment; and 8 scripting (Perl or TCL or Python). A bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer or Electrical Engineering or a directly related field of study plus five (5) years of post-baccalaureate/progressively responsible design engineering experience will be accepted in lieu of a Master's degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering or a directly related field.
