THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED We are looking for an ambitious and driven Silicon Valley/Web 2.0 salesperson with a hunter mentality, responsible for opening new accounts, using relationships, and a solutions-oriented sales approach that utilizes all internal resources available.
The successful candidate will:
Drive top line results, act as BTI's primary sales interface within target accounts, and is responsible for delivering sales revenues, sales forecast and funnel
Align sales efforts with the company's overall corporate strategy and marketing plan
Identify all prospective opportunities and develops and executes effective sales plans and strategies
Identify and cover the decision-making power base within the account
Maintain communication both before and after sales, ensuring that continued contact is made, and that full sales support is provided
Meet or exceed objectives for sales, gross margin, and customer penetration
Provide timely and accurate reporting of expected revenue, industry trends, specific customer account trends, and competitive information to sales leadership
Work with sales and marketing leadership to study and develop sales strategies to penetrate target accounts.
Requires a technical degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent related telecom/networking field with a minimum of 5 years successful experience ramping sales of new products, either in start-up or established company environment. Can also have been significant contributor in a technical support function resulting in the significant sales volume ramp of existing or new products. Understanding of Packet/Optical DWDM systems a must, as is personal experience with Salesforce.com or similar CRM; Layer 3 experience preferred but not required; comfortable taking ownership of driving revenues on a quarter-by-quarter basis against assigned quota and has established customer contacts and relationships within the target accounts; proven and consistent record of overachievement.
