Somewhere new each season. We started Tea in 2002 in San Francisco with 3
beautiful, pima cotton baby sweaters and a vision of bringing the fusion of worldwide
cultures and modern design to fashion. For nearly 10 years, we?ve been designing
distinctive clothing collections for children (and now women).
Job Overview:
We are looking for a talented, meticulous individual to be our point person for everything
related to our websites. You?ll be working with a small internal team of designers,
marketers and merchants on web projects ranging from ecommerce, to mobile, to
social, to the development of digital assets for marketing campaigns. You will help
define projects, develop requirements and estimate timelines, then work with our
external developers to execute on time and on budget. Additionally, you will
troubleshoot any issues with website that may arise. You should have a strong
understanding web development and be prepared to use it daily to make regular site
updates. The ideal candidate should have understanding of eCommerce best practices
and an understanding of how the industry is evolving.
Responsibilities:
? Work with immediate and extended ecommerce team resources, such as designers,
copywriters, technical resources, and vendors in order to manage the time and
priorities of projects
? Make regular pixel-perfect updates to Tea websites
? Communicate with key stakeholders, vendors and other departments on project
status, technical capabilities, issues, and enhancements
? QA new functionality, site updates and emails to ensure cross platform compatibility,
quality and accuracy
? Maintain positive relationships with outside vendors and internal resources
Ideal Candidate Characteristics:
? 2+ years of web project management experience in an eCommerce environment
? Experience working with and coordinating multiple remote teams
? You should be proficient in HTML/CSS and have a strong understanding of
javascript
? Strong advocate for web standards and usability
? Team player/collaborator able to take criticism and work toward common goals
? Experience designing internal processes (a go live process, a QA process, etc.)
? Ability to quickly learn platforms and platform functionalities
? Familiar with Adobe Creative Suite
? Previous web development experience a plus
? Familiar with version control systems (svn, git, etc.)
? Extremely organized, diligent, and detail-oriented with ability to effectively manage
multiple projects and activities
? Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential
? Working knowledge of internet marketing and social media
? Understanding and appreciation for the Tea design aesthetic
