Plateau is seeking a Customer Account Manager to sell into install base accounts to increase sales and support with our current customers. The ideal candidate will have the ability to maintain and grow existing partnerships for Plateaus many products and services. Candidates will focus on the growth of current customers. This position reports to The Vice President, Sales, North America. We have openings in several territories including the West Coast and East Coast.
Job Duties include:
o Responsible for the development and implementation of a solution sales plan while maintaining and developing an existing customer base to achieve sales of Plateau products and services
o Identify opportunities to up-sell solutions based on clients business issues and objectives
o Primary responsibility is to meet and exceed the assigned quota for sales of products, and services within a territory or vertical
o Provide accurate forecasts to monitor achieving sales goals
o Achieving assigned quota targets, developing the strategic position of Plateau, and building long-term relationships with customers in a consultative sales style
o Ensure that team follows up all leads, and that focus on key account opportunities is maintained
o Effectively communicate territory needs to other groups within Plateau, and secure resources necessary to close business
o Draft and negotiate contracts, using Plateau resources as require
o Command excellent knowledge of Plateaus product line, including the basic features
Required Qualifications:
o At least five years of experience selling in the proposed territory
o Five or more years successful sales experience with solution-based software products
o Must be able to travel 50 or more.
o Demonstrated track record of consistent achievement of sales targets
o Knowledge of top companies in proposed territory, with senior contacts in their HR, Training and/or IT departments
o Experience selling in Software industry or experience selling corporate-wide training solutions required
o Skilled in successfully presenting new technologies at high levels within organizations & large groups
o Creative problem solver, business builder and results oriented team player
o Ability to aggressively prospect new customers
o Ability to customize the communication/presentation of Plateaus product line and demonstrate how it aligns with the customers business needs
o Knowledge of eLearning industry.
