Role: SMB Inside Sales Manager - Pleasanton, CA
The SMB Inside Sales Manager is responsible for managing MegaPath?s Business Sales Executives who sell solution-based voice, data, hosted and managed services products to existing and potential MegaPath business customers through proactive outbound phone and web sales efforts. You must be able to hold quota.
Oversee a team of Business Sales Executives responsible for selling Integrated Voice, Data, Internet, Cloud and Managed Services to potential clients. Also, you are responsible for managing a portion of the sales efforts to raise visibility and market penetration to meet and exceed monthly revenue objectives.
Motivate/Lead/Coach Business Sales Executives to meet performance objectives - reward positive performance and closely manage poor performance. Quickly recognize Business Sales Executives who underperform and take appropriate corrective action. Accurately assess strengths and weaknesses of others. Assemble, deploy, develop, empower and timely inspire the right talent to get the job done.
Monitor turnover within team and engage in the recruiting process to meet headcount objectives.
Orchestrate multiple activities at once to accomplish a goal.
Accurately report sales numbers and monthly forecasts using evaluation and tracking systems. Drive sales process and maintain system management. Provide accurate and timely information as required.
Develop and implement plans and programs for improving and monitoring sales performance and productivity.
Develop and implement sales and marketing strategy within business objectives. Plan and drive appropriate sales strategy with sales team.
Assist and participate in MegaPath?s vision and Sales Organization?s direction.
Support Marketing and Business Development initiatives with sales efforts.
Skills and Experience:
BA degree required
2-3 years of successful building and managing a sales team
Familiar with short sales cycle closings via Web sites and telephone sales
Sales of technical service offerings (preferably in telecommunications)
Experience in a rapid-growth environment
Proven ability to implement and communicate sales compensation structures
High degree of professionalism, enthusiasm and integrity
Strong analytical, communication and people skills
