SOC Triage Technician Project Leadership Associates

PLA is looking for enthusiastic, motivated and pro-active individuals to grow our Systems Operations Team. As a part of this team, a SOC Triage Technician serves as a direct point of contact for most customer and service provider interaction.
Receiving and resolving Tier 1 customer requests via Phone, e-mail, internal ticket system, monitoring alerts, escalating alerts to appropriate personnel, performing initial remediation and updating support teams via ticketing system, email and/or phone.
Acting as a liaison between customers and our SOC Engineer Team and working/resolving support requests.
Escalate and communicate customer issues and network related alerts to SOC Tier 2-3 staff, Management, and Administration as defined by our client?s policies and escalation procedures.
Monitor, maintain and fix servers, operating systems, network configurations, software applications, and hardware.
Administer and monitor system availability and performance tools.
Add and enhance monitors for various systems.
As a team member, work to meet or exceed service level targets.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex problems.
Solve or document and further escalate issues as needed.
Update and create internal articles and/or documentation.
Work closely with internal and external customers.
Training will be made available.
Evening, overnight, and weekend, holiday and on-call shift work may be required.
Help Desk or Technical Support Experience, Data Center Experience, SQL Server administration and/or management a plus.
Working Knowledge of Network and Server Equipment (ie, Cisco, Dell, Foundry, HP, etc.).
Significant experience with IIS, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, Windows networking administration, and knowledge of web technologies.
Comprehensive knowledge of Windows operating systems for servers and workstations, including Windows Server 2008 (Server 2012 a plus).
Solid Background using Microsoft Office Suite.
Microsoft certification (MCSE, MCDBA, MTA, MCTS, MCSA, or other certification relevant to this job description).
Experience with Juniper, Foundry, Cisco, and/or F5 Network equipment.
Experience with web development tools and technologies (i.e. HTML, PHP, etc.).
Understanding of or Experience with Critical Power Systems.
Understanding of Power Calculations and Electrical Conversions.
Strong written and verbal communications skills.
Demonstrate excellent attention to detail.
Ability to multi-task efficiently, work independently and/or as a part of a team.
Able to learn and adapt to new technologies through self-directed training.
Ability to interact with clients in a professional, articulate manner.
Sound Communication Skills (both written and verbal).
Ability to learn and retain information in a fast pace environment.
Ability to work independently and/or as a part of a team.
