SoC Verification Engineer (California) Calxeda, Inc.

Responsibilities:
--Develop, optimize and execute test plans using random and direct methods.
oIncluding top level, individual blocks and system verification.
--Analyze and define opportunities for performance improvements.
--Analysis test coverage to find coverage holes and write tests that drive coverage to goal levels.
--Implement verification environments and systems that utilize VIPs (verification IP) from 3rd party companies to model external functions and ensure Calxeda logic properly interacts with these VIPs.
--Ensure overall functionality, pre tape-out, of the SoC in its targeted application.
--Be a solid member of a small dynamic team where you can contribute in many technical areas, including areas and technologies for which you have not been an expert in the past.
Education/Qualifications:
--Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science required, graduate degree preferred with 5+ years of Verification experience.
--Experience in defining, owning and driving verification environments, test plans, and execution.
--Experience in verification automation and coverage.
--Experience in driving Random based testing.
--Experience with Verilog, System Verilog, PERL and C.
--Experience with OVM/UVM is preferred.
--Experience with Switched Fabrics and Network Topology is a plus.
--ARM-based SoC and AXI experience is helpful.
--RTL and logic design understanding and experience.
--Self-motivated and driven to continuously improve personal and professional skills, combined with openness to constructive feedback.
--Strong communication skills.
