Social Brand Manager for a first-of-its-kind program offering for-credit undergraduate courses from prestigious colleges and universities online. We?re looking for an incredible talent to design and execute on our inbound marketing, social media and community building strategy to support our overall business goals of student acquisition, program awareness / education and thought leadership. To excel in this role, you must be a problem solver, a natural connector and someone with a passion for building digital awareness. This position is not like any you?ve experienced before.
What you will be tasked with:
? Masterminding and delivering on our overarching digital strategy, across the blog, prioritized social channels and search engines to drive audience awareness, lead generation, viewership and engagement
? Building a strong, brand-appropriate voice in social channels that serves to enhance our goals and ensures a consistent, intuitive and engaging presence
? Acquiring a deep understanding of millennials and how to best navigate influencers
? Working with our content team to create and promote compelling campaigns to drive brand awareness and engage with the current audience
? Taking point on creating and managing an editorial calendar that aligns with business objectives and catapults our blog as an industry leader
? Project managing content development and creation of marketing assets in conjunction with Directors of Marketing; Helping to streamline overall communication across department stakeholders
? Managing and applying the principles of online relationship / outreach (link building) & public relations to drive inbound results and lead generation
? Maintaining and reporting on the inbound marketing dashboard and KPI?s internally
? Staying on top of industry trends and tools to support marketing campaigns and objectives; becoming an influencer in your vertical
? Managing interns and 3rd party vendors as needed
You are someone who:
? Is looking for a new challenge and defines his/her skills as best in class
? Is comfortable engaging in online conversations with brand advocates, brand detractors and other industry stakeholders
? Has 2-3 years of experience in digital brand / inbound marketing, social media / community management or public relations
? Has a proven track record in executing strategy / management and campaign activation for a well-known brand (examples will be requested)
? Is socially enabled: experience with Facebook Pages, Twitter, Google Plus, Instagram, YouTube, SlideShare, Pinterest, Hacker News, etc.
? Is digitally enabled: experience and/or familiarity with Wordpress, Google Analytics / Webmaster Tools, BuzzStream, and Salesforce or CRM
? Is passionate about millenials and the ?me? generation: you should love (or have an interest in) Gen Y ? how do they consume media, what do they like to share and how do they interact online?
? Has a strong understanding of inbound marketing fundamentals: SEO / outreach, content marketing, analytics, social media and community building
? Have strong business development skills
? Have outstanding written and verbal skills, with the ability to communicate equally effectively to prospects, advocates and executives
? Embraces creativity and contain an inherent desire to challenge the status quo
? Given our fast-paced culture, works autonomously while staying cool under pressure in order to help us prioritize and deliver on the most needle-moving activations
? Loves juggling multiple projects, staying organized and getting things done
? Is open to and capable of traveling from time to time (2U NYC and the partner universities)
How you?ll measure success:
? Quality/quantity of mentions generated via outreach and social engagements
? Opportunities/partnerships created and leads generated via inbound marketing activities
? Blog traffic, post frequency and share volume/quality
? Size of following acquired across social channels and ability to gain consensus
