Have you been hiding your copywriting skills while working for a payroll company or in various payroll company positions? Are you a ?Payroll Expert? hiding a passion for social media or journalism?
SurePayroll is an online business-to-business payroll company in Glenview, IL, looking for an experienced payroll expert who can write! We're looking for someone with 5+ years of payroll industry experience and know-how; understanding how corporate marketing, public relations and social media works would be a huge advantage for the right person ? but isn?t required. The ideal candidate will quickly and accurately answer frequently asked questions about payroll and know where to quickly retrieve answers to payroll questions that may be outside the person?s current bandwidth. The ideal candidate can also write strong, relevant content.
Responsibilities:
This individual will develop and socially disseminate relevant content that helps answer small business owners? payroll questions (content includes: FAQ, social media posts of all types, web copy, blog posts on external blogs, white papers, case studies, infographic content and more). The candidate must be able to take the complex and make it sound simple. You should be able to direct the content development process, work gracefully with demanding internal clients and multi-task to meet deadlines.

This role reports to the Director of Marketing Communications.
Responsibilities:
Create smart, accurate copy that meets our marketing strategy and champions our brand
Special projects where payroll, and its impact on small businesses, are the focal point
Partner with internal clients to deliver the best results every time
Development, delivery and management of payroll and other small business content to be shared via multiple outlets including website, social media, mobile sites, video, and blogs (corporate and guest)
Monitor, review and draft content for posting on all social media sites and channels such as Facebook, Google+, YouTube, LinkedIn and Twitter, as well as relevant blogs
Plan and assist in implementing social media outreach and marketing communications campaigns to drive site traffic as well as encourage engagement and participation
Manage projects from inception and strategy through completion
Leverage freelancers and agencies as necessary
Work with our Marketing team and PR firm to develop and maintain relationships with key bloggers and other influencers within our target industries and markets
Partner with existing web team and others to develop and direct content strategies that directly impact SEO efforts
Requirements:
5+ years of payroll experience with payroll standard concepts and practices a MUST
CPP preferred, but not required
Advanced knowledge of various payroll systems
Advanced understanding of payroll regulations and tax requirements
Excellent written communication skills a MUST
Advanced knowledge of MS Word and Excel (including Pivot-tables & Vlook-up functions)
Degree in Accounting, Journalism, Creative Writing or English preferred
Ability to switch between voices of various brand personalities, brand characters, corporate spokesperson and consumer
targets
Enthusiastic self-starter who loves what they do
