The social media coordinator will keep our daily social presence active and engaging by supporting the communications team with a steady stream of content and executing a regular stream of blog posts and social media programs.
Create engaging, relevant and eye-catching articles and posts that will draw readers and members
Author social media posts on all upcoming social platforms
Write content for Zipcar?s corporate blog
Identify key bloggers and influencers, conduct outreach and develop relationships
Research and test new social media programs
Choose and modify photos, videos and curated content to illustrate articles and blog posts
Track and report on performance of editorial content and social programs
Manage social email calendar. Select and edit content for inclusion in subscription-based social newsletters. Work with community and design teams on layout and sharable content
Conduct competitive analysis and industry research
Support the social team on all programs and campaigns for Zipcar social media channels
The successful candidate must have the following experience, skills, and education:
BA/BS preferably in communications, journalism, English or marketing-related discipline
Strong knowledge and love of of social platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube)
1-2 years of experience or internship in social media
Very strong writing skills
