We are seeking a smart, dynamic self-starter to join our Marketing Communications team and help us drive mindshare of Cornerstone OnDemand, one of the world?s fastest growing enterprise software companies. Leading organizations such as Starwood Hotels & Resorts, The Neiman Marcus Group, Save the Children and Pinkberry use our talent management software to recruit, manage, develop and engage their employees. We had one of the more successful IPOs of the past year, and now we are looking to propel our communications initiatives to the next level.
The Social Media Manager will be responsible for overseeing Cornerstone?s social and online presence, acting as the company?s social voice and developing creative, compelling content that elevates the Cornerstone brand. Ideal candidates are highly self-motivated and proactive individuals with a passion for social media. They enjoy plugging into various social channels, building relationships with key influencers and engaging target audiences. And they are able to quickly and easily write unique and opinionated content. Knowledge of SaaS, cloud computing, B2B software, and/or the learning and HR space are a plus. This position reports to the Director of Marketing Communications and is based out of our Santa Monica, Calif. headquarters.
Responsibilities
Develop and manage content for posting on designated social media channels. Ensure consistency of messages and brand across multiple networks and platforms.
Manage the company?s various blogs. Includes development and management of editorial calendars, generation and posting of content (including written and video content), collaboration with blog contributors, and more.
Interact with and engage various Cornerstone audiences in real time via the company?s blog and various social channels, including Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and more.
Develop strong relationships with industry influencers and guide favorable views of the company within social channels.
Provide social media support for broader integrated marketing and PR campaigns.
Work in collaboration with Online Marketing to ensure SEO/SEM optimization of all social content.
Monitor company and industry presence, perceptions and conversations on various social and online channels. Work with Online Marketing to evaluate and report the impact and ROI of the company?s overall social strategy.
Act as the resident social media expert, staying on top of the latest social media trends, technologies and best practices for increasing the effectiveness of the company?s social strategy.
Required Skills and Experience
Bachelor?s degree in journalism, communications, marketing or a related field
4-6 years of communications, marketing, PR or journalism experience, with at least 2 years experience with social media and community management
Proven track record running social media programs that have delivered measurable results
Experience growing and engaging audiences via blogs and social media channels such as Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, video platforms, discussion groups and more
Excellent writing, editing, interpersonal and communications skills
Ability to distil several ideas into compelling content
High-level strategic thinker who can also handle the hands-on tactical execution of social activities
Experience with various marketing and social measurement tools and platforms
Ability to work well under pressure, manage multiple projects and priorities, and meet deadlines
Thrives in an open, collaborative, fast-paced environment
Is an enthusiastic, flexible team player with a positive attitude and a sense of humor
