Title: Social Media/Public Relations Manager
The Social Media/Public Relations Manager will be responsible for developing and executing a social media strategy to build a community of loyal and engaged fans across a variety of social platforms. The Manager will also lead communications for product launches, promotions, events and managing the blog. The Manager will collaborate with the Senior Director of Online Acquisition to develop short-term and long-term goals and a roadmap that aligns with overall Viggle business objectives.
Lead and execute the social media strategy and communications across Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Google+, Viggle blog etc. to drive member engagement and brand awareness
Lead public relations activities including writing press releases, managing PR agency and conference participation
Manage and execute social media calendar with respect to Marketing, Sales, Business Development and Programming promotions and events
Advise on practices/methods to convert Viggle members to fans/followers ? in-app, share function, website, newsletter, etc.
Establish key social media benchmarks and develop a reporting system to analyze data and ensure measurable results against goals (follower/likes) and KPIs
Partner with Customer Support to develop support processes across social/Viggle platforms and during crisis situations
Develop blogger outreach program, including identification and engagement with TV focused bloggers
Support key Viggle marketing partners (DIRECTV, Verizon Wireless) on optimizing social media programs
Collaborate with Sales & Business Development to productize social advertising opportunities
Encourage social media techniques/best practices into Viggle culture
Source social media platform or analytics partners as required
Partner with Marketing, Rewards, Programming, and Product teams to develop and execute a marketing calendar that include promos, sweeps, contests, product launch campaigns
Partner with Design to develop marketing assets for promos
Collaborate with Programming and Product to re-design and re-launch Viggle blog
Support Senior Director of Online Acquisition on various marketing initiatives including brand initiatives
Bachelor?s degree with a minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in the digital and social content space
Established social media background including proven community management experience across Facebook, Twitter, and other platforms
Strong writing skills are critical
Excellent presentation skills, both written (PowerPoint, Excel, Word fluency a must) and verbal
Proven results growing social media following
Strategic thinker with creative problem solving and understanding of brand positioning
Experience running digital/social promotions from inception through execution and maintenance
Ability to partner with Research to drive the best use of analytics, and solve for evolving best practices in Social Media
Experience at a TV network strongly desired
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Experience managing an external PR agency a plus
