Responsibilities:The Social Media Specialist/Blogger is responsible for creating opinionated, stylish writing and frequently posting new content (including multi-media) on the State of Security blog and all applicable social media outlets. The position also coordinates the online marketing calendar activity, partners with other departments to ensure consistency of messages, continuously monitors coverage and reports the effectiveness of all social media channels using tested methods.
Requirements:
Write feature articles, blog posts and opinion pieces focusing on current topics affecting the security and business needs
Manage content flow and support contributors
Write blog posts and update content and maintain presence across all social media channels
Provide coverage for daily breaking/trending news, write original content to attract new readers, expand footprint and improve searchability of site
Interview Tripwire personnel, customers, security practitioners or industry influencers and creates crowdsourcing articles
Create daily, weekly and monthly round-ups from most popular news and/or most popular blog posts, upcoming events, etc.
Solicit content submissions from independent industry influencers
Communicate the Tripwire brand and products through social media channels
Monitor dialogue across designated social media channels
Identify trends and engagement opportunities
Make initial responses to inquiries, complaints, comments and other contacts generated through social media and coordinates escalations or further communications
Integrate social media in other marketing channels including online, email nurturing, events, field marketing, etc
Develop and test methods for measuring the impact of social media programs
Analyze, review, and report on effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximize results
Monitor new social media trends and showing applicability to Tripwire social media channels
Develop network of industry contacts and participate in relevant professional associations
Become an advocate of Tripwire in social media spaces, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate
Requirements:
A minimum of 5 years of experience writing professionally for varied audiences
A degree in marketing/journalism or a related field is required or a combination of applicable education and experience
Superior verbal and written communications skills
A strong social media footprint
Good judgment and thinking to develop solutions to problems
Ability to consistently meet tight deadlines
Expert knowledge of social networking channels
3 to 5 years of experience managing social media campaigns
Experience with keywords and meta tags preferred
Intimate knowledge and understanding of Security domain preferred
