Who We Want:
The Social Media Strategist will be responsible for coordinating all of Bazaarvoice?s social network activity. The strategist will be accountable for driving achievement against metrics like impressions, conversations, and CTR, and will measure and report on the effectiveness of their efforts to optimize activities and track ROI.
This role works closely with the Content Strategy Manager and Campaign Managers to ensure that all of Bazaarvoice?s thought leadership and lead generation content is distributed across channels in ways that build readership, improve brand image and awareness, and drive qualified leads.
Core job responsibilities
Manage all social activity across Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, and other networks to ensure a steady flow of content and a responsive social presence.
Create innovative social media initiatives that advance Bazaarvoice?s marketplace visibility.
Measure and report on key social metrics monthly to prove and improve ROI of social efforts. Champion these results across the company.
Engage with social influencers to create beneficial relationships and grow the Bazaarvoice footprint with key audiences.
Author blog posts and other social content.
Assist the Content Strategy Manager in researching and developing a corporate point of view on emerging trends, specific industries, and more.
Work with internal stakeholders to build pipeline of blog content from all corners of the company.
Act as a self-motivated multi-tasker, comfortable working quickly and with significant ambiguity. Relish in being a creative problem solver and solution-oriented team member.
Engage and educate Bazaarvoice employees in becoming brand ambassadors, actively participating on the social web.
Skills and Experience Necessary for the Role:
2+ years experience in managing corporate social media presence(s).
Editorial and/or journalism background a plus.
Experience planning, building, and executing effective social media strategies across numerous social networks.
Strong written and verbal communications skills.
Collaborative work style; skill in working independently and in cross-functional teams.
Ability to comfortably develop and communicate plans to marketing leadership, as well as other stakeholders/leaders within the organization.
Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment, ask questions and track down answers with confidence, and lead projects/programs with minimal direction.
