At iCrossing, we believe the web is social. As such, we feel that every online marketer needs to be social media savvy to succeed on the web today. Our unique and ideal candidate will not only be an enthusiastic online strategist but also bring a passion for social media.
As a Social Strategist in our New York office, you will act as the nexus between day-to-day execution and the strategy leads on all executions. The Social Media Strategist must be able to think strategically, plan and execute on content and audience-based marketing programs.
Responsibilities:
Involvement in the strategic process as the engagement SME, providing insights into the best strategies and tactics to build audiences, engage audiences and amplify a client?s reach through social media
Leads the creation of tactical strategies that guide executional programs
Plays a planning role, guiding audience management and outreach activities to ensure activities support the editorial plan and align with the overarching program strategy, to generate the maximum engagement from audiences
Works internally with team to establish engagement best practices and helps formalize iCrossing?s engagement best practices and procedures
Contributes to thought leadership around engagement practices, measurement and process
Helps brands develop governance and escalation policies for social media
Works with cross-functional teams to develop integrated marketing plans
Understands how to interpret social media data to optimize a client?s performance and provide actionable recommendations for continued improvement
Play an active role in developing innovative social media marketing strategies, based on inputs from clients, social media monitoring tools, competitive analysis, and secondary research
Work closely with client and internal teams to execute social media engagements for clients, including serving as a community manager for clients' social spaces (e.g., Facebook pages, Twitter feeds)
Maintain awareness of new social media marketing techniques being used by others, as well as look for opportunities to innovate and develop completely new techniques
Track success of social media marketing programs
Organize results and findings into presentations for clients and team members
Qualifications:
Understands the interaction between strategy, content and audience management
Is very familiar with all major forms of social media and has actively cultivated his/her own network on at least one of the social media sites
Has proven experience helping to create and implement social media / real-time marketing campaigns
4-6 years experience in related field (e.g., interactive agency, marketing, advertising, market research, public relations)
Is analytically strong with proven ability to demonstrate data interpretation capabilities as it relates to real time marketing
Digital marketing or social media marketing required
Proven deep understanding of social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Foursquare
Experience using listening & reporting tools like Facebook Insights, Radian6 and BuzzMetrics
Bachelor's degree
Proficiency in MS PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
Works well with cross-functional teams
Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
Basic understanding of SEO and SEM a plus-
