What you are responsible for
Design and implement core technologies in fast paced environment, with minimum guidance
Implement robust, highly scalable, highly optimized backend components
Evaluate and integrate latest technologies and third party tools/APIs
Implement core components handling the latest web real-time protocols
Extend current engineering processes in order to scale to larger team
Manage team of junior engineers if needed

What you need for this position

Strong technical and analytical skills
Ability to quickly prototype, architect and build (or manage the development) using latest/greatest technologies including java-based
Experience in application deployment architectures and concerns such as scalability, performance, availability, reliability, security etc.
Experience delivering distributed and highly scalable web 2.0 applications
Knowledge of sharded relational/ NoSql databases
Commitment to automated unit and system testing strategies and frameworks
Experience working with teams in rapid delivery environments
Ability to self-organize and work effectively with minimal supervision
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
