Software Automation Engineer Silverlink Communications
Silverlink is looking for a highly skilled, motivated Software Automation Developer who is eager to participate in the creation of an automation framework from the ground up. You must be creative in your approach to
solve problems, have a knack for "breaking products" but more importantly be able to prove products work!
Primary responsibilities will include design and implementation of our software automation framework using
several programming languages, platforms, and tools; continually grow and evolve the automation platform to
meet our high quality standards and the increasing functional demands of our products; helping to create and
implement test cases and improve our test case management capabilities.
You will be working with the software development engineers and other test engineers to automate the testing
of Silverlink?s Web-based communication platform and new products.
Key Responsibilities
! Work closely with SCRUM Teams and Product Owners to understand our products and define
appropriate test automation scenarios.
! Contribute to the architecture, design, and implementation of our automation framework
! Write, execute and update automated test scripts using the automation framework
! Follow all coding standards and best practices
! Participate in sizing and planning exercises including estimating tasks and assignments
! Within the QA Team, work with the manual testers to maintain current and future scripts
! Define and implement testing and verification strategies
Required Skills/Background/Experience
! 5+ years of Quality Assurance related experience in an automation role
! 5+ years of high-level software development and programming in Java, C++, VB.Net, or C#
! 5+ years of recent Automation architecting, development, testing, scripting
! Hands on experience on various automation frameworks.
! Hands on experience with scripting languages such as VBScript or Javascript; software testing tools
such as Selenium; and Web technologies such as HTML5
! Experience with open source test tools.
! Hands on experience with a SQL RDBMS experience (Microsoft SQL Server 2008 preferred)
! Must have completed multiple product life cycle tests using automation testing
! Experience with object oriented design and/or design patterns
! BS in Computer Engineering or equivalent experience
Additional Experience Considered a Plus
! Experience in HealthCare technology and data
! Working knowledge or experience with web services
! Small fast-growth company experience
