Position Summary:
LANDesk has an immediate opening for a Software Build Architect to join the Build/SCM team. The successful candidate will have demonstrated skills in innovating, developing, and maintaining build and configuration management for a large multi-team, multi-product, multi-OS organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
Work with developers and stakeholders to deliver software through the build and deployment system
Work with product teams to ensure successful product build and delivery
Facilitate source code management best practices among diverse product teams
Participate in and lead CM architectural discussions with engineering leads
Maintain and evolve build environment to deliver new and changing products
Work with IT to scale build environment
Assemble and maintain continuous integration CM system
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Skills and Experience:
10+ years of experience in software development
Experienced with Windows, OSX, iOS, Android, and Java software development
Experience in virtual machine systems such as HyperV and VMWare
Solid understanding of the deployment pipeline including, source control systems, build automation, code analysis, and deployment
Experience with build tools, build systems, and configuration management best practices in large multi-team, multi-product organizations
Ability to work in a Scrum software process
Must work well with others and be able to influence other engineers to follow his/her lead
Strong organizational skills with ability to handle various tasks; attention to detail
Strong oral and written communication skills
EDUCATION:
4-year degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related engineering field
