Senior DevOps Automation Engineer Spredfast

Spredfast is a leader in the Social Media Management space and is looking for a passionate and talented individual to join our growing engineering team. The Senior DevOps Automation Engineer will play a critical role in enhancing and expanding our ability to quickly and automatically deploy new versions of our application and provision entirely new environments. In this role you will not only be the primary contributor for our automated provisioning and deployment framework, but you will also collaborate with, support and encourage direct contributions from the Ops, Dev, QA and Architecture organizations. In addition to the requisite technical skill set, the ideal candidate will possess strong communication and planning skills. This will be critical as you will not only be the primary contributor for our automated provisioning and deployment framework, but you will also collaborate with, support and encourage direct contributions from the Operations, Development, QA and Technical Architecture organizations. And perhaps most importantly, Spredfast is a very collaborative work environment and we'll look to you to help the team grow by bringing your own experiences and insights and continuing to look out for new ideas that will help us deliver better software faster. Key Responsibilities
Automate software deployment to development, QA and production environments
Automate provisioning of new transient environments
Coordinate with all stakeholders to improve our release process - focusing on scale and efficiency
Support code and configuration management activites
Review upcoming architectural changes and implementation work to identify impact on provisioning/deployment process
Provide documentation and consulting to allow additional orgs to contribute functional improvements
Technical Qualifications
BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
At least 3 years experience in software engineering, release engineering, and/or configuration management
Experience with one or more scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, Bash, etc.
Experience building and deploying web applications
Experience with build management and continuous integration tools such as Jenkins, Hudson, Bamboo, etc.
Experience automating deployment and provisioning processes with tools such as Ansible, Capistrano, Chef, Puppet, etc.
Experience with dependency and package management systems
Strong familiarity with Unix/Linux operating systems such as Debian, Ubuntu, CentOS, etc.
Strong familiarity with cloud based virtualization platforms like AWS
Strong familiarity version control systems like Git and Subversion
Understanding of monitoring tools such as Nagios
Non-Technical Qualifications

Curiosity, patience and a desire to learn
Strong communication and planning skills
Ability to quickly learn and become proficient with complex applications, understanding their interactions with other installed products, and how they operate within an overall system
