Position Summary:
The Software Build Engineer will be part of the Build/SCM team. The successful candidate will have demonstrated skills in innovating, developing, and maintaining build and configuration management for a large multi-team, multi-product, multi-OS organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
Work with developers and stakeholders to ensure successful product build and deployment
Develop and maintain build and deploy tools, scripts, and processes
Facilitate source code management best practices among diverse product teams
Maintain and evolve a build environment to deliver new and changing products
Work with IT to scale build environment
Assist implementing and maintaining cross platform (Windows/Linux) continuous integration and continuous delivery system across multiple projects and deliverables.
Manage release branches
Ensure the daily deliverables are available in a timely manner
Handle the daily responsibilities of supporting the build and release needs of agile scrum teams.
May perform other job duties as directed by Employee's Leaders
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Skills and Experience:
3+ years of experience in software development
Experienced with Windows, OSX, iOS, Android, and Java software development
Experience in virtual machine systems such as HyperV and VMWare
Solid understanding of the deployment pipeline including, source control systems, build automation, code analysis, and deployment
Experience Linux and Windows operating systems
Experience with NAnt,
Ability to work in a Scrum software process
Must work well with others and be able to influence other engineers to follow his/her lead
Strong organizational skills with ability to handle various tasks; attention to detail
Strong oral and written communication skills
Excellent time management, decision making and organization skills
Must be able to work well with others as part of a team
Education/Licensing/Certification:
4-year degree in computer science or 7 years working experience in computer engineering, or related engineering field BS / BA Degree or higher
