Lumension is seeking an exceptional Content Specialist to join our Content Development Team. This team is responsible for ensuring the timely production of content with the high degree of quality that our customers expect when they are using several of our key products.
The ideal candidate will have experience administering and supporting multiple system platforms, and will have a strong knowledge of building and using virtual environments. They must be a quick learner and be able to adapt to using internal tools to create our content bundles. In this highly visible position, they will have an opportunity to work with multiple operating systems, platforms, and applications. They will be highly technical, motivated, and results driven.
The successful candidate will be capable of owning large features, will have a passion for delivering high quality output and possess a high degree of creativity and enthusiasm. Team work, communication, and collaboration are all important attributes of the candidate, as well as a track record of strong troubleshooting skills and high quality output.
In addition, they will use and maintain IT servers and possess experience in platform-dependent scripting. They must be capable of maintaining and supporting test server systems, analyzing problems, and assisting in the creation of solutions to any problems found.
Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
Good understanding of the entire development process, including specification, documentation and quality assurance
Excellent skills in research and analysis, project tracking and implementation
Excellent troubleshooting/problem solving skills
Strong understanding of Windows systems
Knowledge of how Microsoft does Windows patching
Good understanding of VBScript
Good understanding of Batch Scripting
Experience working on complex projects under aggressive deadlines
Knowledge of Scrum and Agile methodologies and practices
Experience with Networking and systems security
Knowledge of administering multi-platform environments
Knowledge of Linux/UNIX systems
Knowledge of how various Linux and UNIX platforms manage patching
Knowledge of Perl
Knowledge of JScript
At least 2 years or more experience in information technologies/systems or software testing. This is an entry level position. Hourly rate for this position is $14 - $16 DOE
