This is an opportunity for an innovative C/C++ software developer with broad and varied programming skills, who likes tough problems, innovative projects and can figure out ?how to make it work?. This challenging position offers an experienced hands-on Software Engineer an opportunity to make major contributions to our GNSS/Inertial product-line on Linux and Windows.
This individual will work as a member with our software technical staff. You will be challenged to create solutions to tough engineering problems resulting in cutting edge products. This position requires an experienced self-starter who is able to jump in and hit the ground running and is equally able to work effectively on a team and perform individually. This engineer will work independently with high level direction and minimal day to day supervision.
The essential functions for this position includes:
This individual will be a hands-on software developer and will develop detailed software requirements, specifications and software test plans based on project/product specifications and control system requirements. These may be new systems or utilize modules from existing systems
This individual will write code in C/C++, as well as C# and other programing languages
This engineer will be responsible for writing code for library functions with a consistent interface so they will run independent of the OS.
This individual may develop low level software drivers.
The engineer will participate in writing software documentation, technical reports, developing software cost and schedule estimates, and authoring software development plans.
The following are requirements for consideration::
10+ years experience designing, implementing, and testing C, C++ and/or C# Software. (Expert coder level)
Working experience in developing and using C++ frameworks.
Is familiar with OS isolation layers and abstraction in Windows and Linux.
Is familiar with unit testing at all levels.
Strong problem solving and software debugging skills.
Working knowledge of compiling tools.
Experience using Object-Oriented Architecture/Design (OOA/OOD)
Citizenship, Education, and Security Clearance
U.S. citizenship is required and active secret clearance is a plus. At a minimum, must be security clearance eligible.
BS or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or other related technical discipline.
