Essential Job Description:
This position designs, develops, and maintains mobile and native software systems for music products used by musicians worldwide. In this position, you will
Collaborate daily with software developers, firmware engineers, product designers and the product test group.
Contribute to product definition and design.
Research, design, and develop software systems for music creation.
Use object oriented techniques to create software applications primarily using C, C++, Objective-C programming languages.
Analyze software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
Consult with the embedded engineering group to evaluate the interface between hardware and software, and the performance requirements of the overall system.
Develop software system testing procedures, programming, and documentation, and work with the product test group to ensure the reliability of software systems.
Formulate and design software systems, using analysis and modeling to predict and measure the performance of the design.
Consult with customers concerning maintenance of software systems.
Learn from other engineers and enjoy a creative development environment with a motivated team.
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
5+ years in software development
Experience with Mobile development
Experience with Objective-C and Object Oriented Programming using C++
Experience with multi-threading and synchronization
Experience with scripting languages and networking protocols
Experience with UI design, third-party UI frameworks
Experience with Audio/Video and streaming protocols
Experience with build system and continuous integration desired
Experience developing for Mac & Windows kernel and drivers a plus
Experience with client-server architecture a plus
Experience with Agile software development a plus
Proven ability to write high-quality software meeting real-time constraints
Passion for music a plus
