Cytel is the world leader in the design, implementation and software development of adaptive clinical trials.The position is for a Software Engineer in the software development team at Cytel. Cytel?s product development team creates sophisticated life sciences statistical applications. The job involves development of desktop-based application products. The candidate is expected to participate in the development of software for Cytel?s software projects. The ideal candidate will have between 2 and 5 years of hands on experience in development of statistical or mathematical software. Good communication and a strong technical background are expected.
Job duties:
? Prepare, read and understand the product specifications and requirements
? Prepare software design according to specifications
? Conduct code reviews ad ensure quality of coding
? Some applied statistics training relevant to the clinical trials or health research environment
? Design and plan unit testing of code
? Interact with the Statisticians for clarity of specifications, schedules etc.
Qualifications and Experience
MS in Statistics or BS in Statistics and Computer Science, 2 - 5 years? experience in software development
Skills
? Sound experience in C++/VC++
? Excellent OOAD concepts, Sound in logical analysis and development
? Experience in development of algorithms for statistical and/or mathematical application a definite advantage
? Should be able to work independently
? Exposure to performance tuning and parallel computing is an advantage
? Exposure to analysis of genetics data an advantage
? Knowledge of AOP, ORM and MVC frameworks on .Net platform desirable
? Excellent oral and written communications skills.
