Position Duties & Responsibilities
BlueSpace values the willingness and ability to learn and adapt above all. The ideal candidate will also possess 6-8 years of software development experience in field engineering, professional services, or a product development role.
The role will report directly to the company's VP of Engineering, and will provide an exciting opportunity to develop and grow. Duties include:
--Developing and testing new products
--In depth understanding of security requirements
--Assisting with product installations and demonstrations as necessary
Position Requirements
--US Citizenship; ability to hold a US security clearance
--Demonstrable prior experience and proficiency in an object oriented programming language
--Capability to perform both back-end and front-end development
--Understanding of software engineering practices including Agile, OOA/D, UML, and Test-Driven Development
--Ability to take ownership and responsibility for a project and work independently
--Ability to work directly with customers
--Ability to travel occasionally
Desired Skills
--Web toolkit proficiency with GWT and event-driven web technology (Comet, Websockets, etc.)
--ESB experience (Mule, ServiceMix, etc.)
--Java, C++, or C# language experience
--HTML/CSS, AJAX, JavaScript
--Unix shell or Windows PowerShell scripting
--Experience with installation and configuration of webservers and authentication
--Windows domain, Active Directory, and Exchange administration
--Programming, installation, configuration, and administration of a RDBMS
--Previous experience working in a professional services team responsible for implementing software at customer sites is desired
--Ability to write technical specifications and documentation
Experience / Education
6-8 years experience in the above skills
Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science or Engineering
United States Citizenship is required. Background Check is required.
