The Software Developer will maintain existing code written to enhance systems used within CradlePoint. Responsibilities include maintaining technical documentation, web site support and customization, support and modification of custom software, testing programs to find errors, confirm program specifications and creating User Interfaces. Knowledge of Salesforce.com, SQL Server 2005/2008, MySQL, Drupel, and other open source programming tools are requirements for the position. Requirements:
Work with internal customers to support the CradlePoint web site and other systems.
Write and maintain functional and technical documentation for changes to existing programs or new programs developed.
Design, build, and modifiy modules based on functional and system requirements.
Work with QA to test and debug code written for internal customers.
A basic understanding of software configuration and the release management process.
A basic understanding of requirements gathering, Functional Acceptance Testing (FAT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Change Control Management etc.
Provide technical assistance to IT by assisting with identifying problems, error resolution, and answering support questions.
Ability to manage project timelines to meet deadlines.
Quickly assess and implement requested changes.
Gather, analyze, and document requirements from internal customers and management.
Responsible for all appropriate development documentation, including requirements, design, code documentation, test plans and other related documents.
Qualifications:
Minimum 1-3 years of systems/programming with experience in an Open Source systems programming environment creating User Interfaces, interpreting information, and database programming.
Experience with DHTML, PHP, and Drupel required.
Experience with Open Source programming tools such as MySQL and Python required.
Experience customizing Salesforce.com preferred.
Experience with SQL Server 2005/2008 would be helpful.
Experience with Synoptix and/or Crystal type Reporting would be helpful.
Education:
Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Computer Science or relevant skills and experience equivalent to degree level.
