Software Developer, Commerce Redfin
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED
Redfin is a well-funded startup taking on the Real Estate industry's most audacious, complex e-commerce transaction: guiding buyers from offer to close and guiding sellers from listing to close. We're trying to do it better, faster, and less costly, where the customer always comes first.
As a developer on the Commerce team, you will be responsible for writing mission critical end-to-end software enabling our agents to be the super-efficient, deal-closing customer advocates they are. In addition, you will also be responsible for helping us break ground on new, innovative customer-facing tools and technologies from the database schema up to the user interface. As you know, we've got the best real-estate search site around (and we're always making it better). Now we're building the best site to guide our customers, both home buyers and sellers, through the next steps of the process.
You: A bright developer with 1+ years experience on top of raw coding skills, a solid problem solver, likes to design complex systems for the fun of it, innovative visionary with a can-do attitude, successful history of driving projects to completion, and an instinct for building customer-driven applications to ultimately process billions in real estate transactions.
The Tools: There is Linux, Apache/Tomcat, tons of Java, some Postgres and some Hibernate, a bit of jUnit, a dash of Spring/JSP/HTML, a sprinkle of JavaScript/CSS/AJAX, and a host of other open source development tools.
What you'll get from us: Support and resources to continue learning, a brilliant team with which to collaborate, an office in downtown Seattle close to all the action, and a commitment to your career so you can grow with the company under a management team that has experience building start-ups into profitable, publicly traded companies.
Apply with a summary of your experience and a few ideas on what you think would make Redfin's site better
