Our real estate team uses online tools to guide buyers and sellers through complex real estate transactions with unparalleled transparency and simplicity.As a developer on the Engagement team, you will be responsible for writing features and running experiments to drive more users to Redfin's service. Our team has a very broad reach - we touch almost every part of Redfin's codebase, and we own our features vertically, from the database schema all the way up to the end-user experience. We run A/B tests to bring customers face-to-face with our agents ? and turn the winning combinations into real features; we keep our finger on the pulse of the conversion metrics; we understand our business?s needs and build features to address them, and much more..
Who you really are: You are a brilliant developer who can design and build solid code to be used by millions of users, who is interested in how our business runs, and who enjoys pivoting at a moment?s notice to build something that will have an immediate, critical impact. The Tools: There is a ton of Java, a big heap of Spring/HTML/Dojo, Linux, Apache/Tomcat, a bit of jUnit, a sprinkle of Google Analytics, a dash of SQL/Postgres and Hibernate, and a host of open source development tools. We don't expect you to have used all these tools, although it's great if you have. The most important thing is that you pick up new technologies quickly and eagerly.
