Software Developer Ignite Technologies

Department: Engineering

Reports to: VP, Engineering

Performs product design, bug verification, release testing, and beta support on applications software projects which may require research and analysis. Operates under general supervision and usually reports to the Software Development Manager-Applications.

Software Development

Reviews, analyzes, and modifies the product including coding/encoding, unit testing, and debugging.
Implements and enhances standards related to Microsoft Visual Studio-based development and related processes.
Customer Service support escalation - Assist the Quality Assurance and Customer Support teams by reviewing, researching, and resolving customer support issues escalations.
Software Design & Development - Participate in design specification development and review process per Ignite's Software Delivery Life Cycle methodology.
Work with various individuals and departments, including Architecture, Engineering, Quality Assurance and Project Management to validate product needs against design concept.
Work closely with other team members to meet customer expectations and timelines.

Experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
4+ years of hands on experience designing, developing, and debugging applications, web sites and web services written in C or VB.NET (Microsoft .NET 2.0, 3.5 or higher).
Strong experience developing for Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and higher, including T-SQL development and stored procedures.
5+ years of experience in other Microsoft web technologies, such as ASP.NET, IIS, AJAX.NET, JavaScript, and HTML/XHTML.
Significant experience with creating and manipulating XML data.
Experience and working knowledge of Object-oriented Design and Analysis (OOA and OOD)
