The Software Developer in Test will build, extend, and maintain a system which provides continuous feedback about the quality of software products under development.
Main Duties:
Contribute to the:
Products? stability by developing tests to detect new defects in existing features.
Products? design by developing tests to better understand features which do not yet exist.
Products ?development process by participating in planning and review activities.
Products? delivery on schedule by shifting to other design, development, or test roles as required.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent experience.
2 to 5 years of professional software development experience.
Skills and Talents:
Fluency in at least one high-level, object-oriented, general-purpose programming language. Python and Java preferred.
Familiarity with a disciplined rapid software development process, preferably Scrum or XP.
Familiarity with collaborative software engineering practices such as pair programming and shared code ownership.
Familiarity with object-oriented analysis and design.
Familiarity with software configuration management and source control, preferably distributed source control.
Familiarity with GNU/Linux operating systems and shell scripting.
Familiarity with the Android operating system highly desirable.
