Full-Time PositionAs SDET, you will work with a team bringing new private and public cloud-based storage solutions to market. In addition to all-around development and testing skills, you will bring expertise in testing system-level software, filesystem performance, and scalability.
Essential functions
Participate as an all-in team member, contributing to the projects success by collaborating with other team members to implement automated software tests.
Participate in software design by ensuring that the designs are testable and unit tests are completed.
Take responsibility for ensuring that product quality is well understood at all stages of development.
Be an active team collaborator, both teaching and learning while moving the project forward.
Above all, achieve both personal and team success by delivering robust, ship-able products on schedule
Minimum candidate requirements
At least BS or MS in Computer Science or related technical field
6+ years experience in software QA roles
4+ years of C/C++ development experience on Linux and Windows platforms
Proficiency in one or more scripting languages, Python preferred
Understand issues around file system performance and scalability under heavy loads
Must be a self-starter, creative, highly motivated and responsible
Must have a solid understanding of the entire software engineering lifecycle from product conceptualization, specification, design, development and release processes
Experience working with virtualized environments
Demonstrated ability to ship high-quality products on time and on budget
Must be a team player - we are a small company and the ability to interact well with fellow team members is crucial
Must possess excellent all-round communication skills
Desired experience
Experience with network file systems such as CIFS, NFS, and/or WebDAV
Experience with load-testing tools such as NetBench, SMBTorture, or similar
Participation in an agile environment using scrum methodology.
