Position Summary:
The Software Developer provides leadership and expertise for the development of the ISISS
application and Web ISISS. This includes further development as well as internal and external
customer service and support. The Software Developer will also be expected to participate with
members of the management team and serve as a resource for the group. The Software
Developer is expected to maintain a safe work environment and ensure strict adherence to all
company policies and procedures. They are expected to continuously develop process
improvements and to develop relationships with vendors and other technology partners to
ensure BST?s competitive advantage in the marketplace.
Major Responsibilities, Activities and Task Statements:
Essential Functions
1. Development and maintenance of business applications, data scripts and unit test.
2. Assist with software requirements, documentation, and test cases.
3. Investigate user problems, identify their source, determine possible solutions, test and
implement solutions.
4. Ensure high performance output for internal and external clients.
5. Participate in development groups with colleagues and third-party development vendors.
6. Responsible for ensuring the following:
a. Adhere to the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
b. Create requirements documents.
c. Create test case scenarios.
d. Performance testing of functionality and data integrity.
e. Assisting with validation documents (21 CFR Part 11).
f. Management of migration and implementation schedules of applications into
production.
7. Anticipate application issues and implement preventive measures.
8. Establish and perform maintenance protocols to ensure high performance output for
internal and external clients. 9. Ensure timely user notification of maintenance requirements and effects on system
availability as required.
10. Maintain confidentiality with regard to systems software being developed or utilized.
11. Document development and operational issues for future reference.
12. Other duties as assigned.
Position Specifications
Required
? Associates (2 year) degree or higher
? 1+ years of software development experience.
? Any object-oriented programming language, preferably C#.
? Web-based development principles and best-practices.
? Relational database concepts and best-practices.
? Ability to work across the organization.
? Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
? Ability to think creatively, takes initiative, and work independently.
? Ability to lift 50 pounds.

Working Conditions
Employee will be working on an area with potentially infectious materials. Employee will be
responsible for maintaining a clean work environment and enforce and follow universal
precautions for blood Born Pathogens when working in an area considered to be potentially
contaminated.
Some travel, including international travel may be required.
