Overview:Everyday Hiring is a hiring a Ruby on Rails Web Developer! The web developer will have the ability to communicate complex concepts in a concise manner to both technical and non-technical staff and must not be afraid to propose solutions that will challenge the status quo! Responsibilities:
Collaborate with other developers to maintain standards and create a re-usable codebase
Anticipate business needs and propose efficient technology solutions to requirements
Work with a cross-functional team and independently to iteratively develop high quality products
Qualifications:
Absolute must haves:
Expertise hand-coding semantic HTML and CSS including HTML5, CSS3
Ability to write clean, efficient cross-browser compatible code without resorting to browser specific workarounds
Strong working knowledge of JavaScript, jQuery and AJAX
Experience coding in a Ruby on Rail environment, active knowledge of ActiveRecord, Ruby XML libraries
Forward thinking, with an eye to code for performance, scalability, and maintainability
Must exhibit initiative and display the an ability to work autonomously at times
Like to haves:
Experience with SQL
Working knowledge of SEO best practices for website development
Experience with XML processing
Experience with Redis
